The school based Needs Determination Team reviews indicators for all students nominated for identification. Additional screening data may be requested and may include aptitude and/or achievement testing. Testing is completed during established testing windows.
FALL (August to November) Open to any new student to Moore County Schools
WINTER (Nov. to February) Open to any student in Moore County Schools
SPRING (May to June) Open to any student not screened in the earlier windows using state assessment data or ability testing in 3rd or 7th grades.

AR, AM, AG 90% or higher on content 2 year trend of scoring level 5 on
subtest of an approved test EOG/EOC in math and/or ELA
Pathway 3 need 96% composite or partial 90%or higher on approved
composite on approved ability on approved achievement test
Academically and test in ELA Total and/or Math Total
Intellectually Gifted OR
AI 2 year trend of scoring level 5
in Math and/or ELA
Pathway 4 Students referred for this pathway demonstrate a need for non-traditional
consideration for Gifted Identification
