Mrs. Michele Drummond has been teaching gifted education since 1994 when she graduated from the University of Virginia with a Master's degree in Educational Psychology majoring in gifted education. Starting off as a regular classroom educator for ten years prior to her Master's, the love of teaching has been a rudder for Mrs. Drummond's life. Although married to a United States Marine Corps Officer, she has taught for most of the thirty years traveling around the world with husband and family. She has always taught full time in the elementary level but has subbed in the upper grades for a short time.
Mrs. Drummond has been married with two grown children, two grand children and two dogs. Her daughter, an IT specialist and son in law live up in Virginia and her son is a fireman here in the Sandhills area. Her dogs don't work outside the home.
Although Mrs. Drummond has lived in many of our states of these United States as well as in a few overseas countries, she is happy to be here in the Sandhills region of North Carolina and looks forward to being here for a very long time.
